I Need Your Help: The Never Ending Footsteps Reader Survey

Big changes are coming to Never Ending Footsteps.

I’m going to start writing again, for one.

Ha.

But in all seriousness, since finishing my book, I’ve felt pretty lost when it comes to blog stuff. I have a to-do list the size of Africa and I don’t know what to focus on first. I’ve been drifting and I hate feeling that way.

Mostly because I get really bad motion sickness.

So I need your help. I want to make this site as helpful as possible. I want to entertain and inspire, and help get you out on the road as well. Now’s your chance to tell me what you want to see more of and what you hope I’ll never write about again.

Do you want more incidents? How about destination guides? Do you hate it when I write about European cities? What about when I write about anxiety? Do you want me to write another book (oh god, no)? Read less about how writing a book resulted in a breakdown? ;-)

Click here to take the survey!

It won’t take you more than a few minutes to fill in and your feedback will help improve the site and show me what I should be focusing on. I’d very much appreciate it.

One more thing: This survey is 100% anonymous. I hope it’ll encourage you to tell me how you really feel!

Just a short and sweet post for today! Stay tuned: next week I’ll be catching up on my monthly summaries and sharing my upcoming travel plans for the next few months!

    Hi Lauren!

Long time follower but my first time commenting. I’ve not gotten your book yet but will be doing so shortly. (Congrats on that by the way!)

I’ll go through your survey, but just wanted to comment here as well. I think as far as where to go from here and what to focus on: I can’t help but to mention keep doing what you’re doing. You have a unique style of commenting on what you experience. Not just the places you go to, but how you attempt to intertwine your life living in the places you travel to and explore.

I get to sit here and live vicariously. I myself try to travel to new places and experience the off-tourist path as much as a regular job will let me. When I sit down and plan my next adventure it is about what one can personally experience as well as the fantastic places and people you get to interact with. And I feel that (at least so far) you give your readers a glimpse of what is it like for you. Which in part resonates somewhat with our own experiences and feelings.

If anything I would suggest trying new parts of the world. It does seem you love Asia and return there often or spend much time there. South America is also great! Going to the southernmost point of Argentina, going on adventure hikes to gaze at penguins? Maybe (safe) parts of Africa? Siberia? Idunno.. _My_ list is long and one day I’ll get to all the places I’d like to go as well.

Anyway, all the best! Looking forward to hearing about your travels for a long time to come! Cheers!

      Hi William!

Thank you so much for your helpful comment, and for the compliments! I’m thrilled to hear my writing resonates :-). I definitely agree with trying new parts of the world! I was hoping to travel the length of South America last year, but things got in the way and I had to put it on hold. I’m planning on heading back to Latin America early next year so I’ll hopefully get further this time around :-)

Done! I enjoy reading anything you write because of your honesty and writing style so write about anything you want, I’ll read it anyway;)

A little heads up about the survey: you forgot the option ‘I’ve been reading Neverending Footsteps for 1-2 years’ (it skips from less than 1 year to 2-3 years).

I love the “realness” of your blog. It’s personal and shares details that make a destination truly unique. Anyone can read about a city, but to read your stories and your take on things is really something. I like “keeping it real.” ;-)

    You rock!!!
